NOD32 Antivirus software has earned its 39th Virus Bulletin 100% award for flawless detection of in-the-wild viruses. Tested on the Novell Netware platform with a Windows XP client, NOD32 outperformed competitors several times over.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus achieved the highest throughput of all vendors on the standardised test at 8.36 MB/sec for executable files. This was nearly six times faster than McAfee’s NetShield antivirus which scanned at 1.4 MB/sec. Similarly, NOD32 is four times faster than Kaspersky antivirus (2 MB/sec).
NOD32 is the only solution worldwide that has not missed a single “In the Wild” worm or virus in the rigorous testing conducted by Virus Bulletin since May 1998. The recent comparative tests also confirmed that NOD32 outperforms 8 other antivirus products.
